Setting Search Limits

This option allows you to define the maximum number of entries returned from a search, and the time allowed to perform the search.

Values can also be set in the server configuration files. If values are set in JXplorer and the server configuration files, the lower of the two values is accepted.

To set the search limits:

1.  From the Options Menu, choose Advanced Options.

The JXplorer Advanced Options dialog appears.

2.  Select the Search Limits tab at the top of the dialog.

3.  Enter the maximum number of entries to be returned from a search in the LDAP Limit text box.

Note:  If you set the value to   0, the value set in the server configuration file will apply.

4.  Enter the maximum number of seconds allowed before the search request is stopped in the LDAP Timeout text box.

Note:  If you set the value to   0, the value set in the server configuration file will apply.

5.  Click the Apply button.

Note: To revert the search limits back to the last saved version, click the Reset button.
